My mother has a LOT of favorite cookies, but high on the list are anything lemon, lime and peanut butter. So, I went into variation mode on Monday, the 4th of July with two lime and lemon cookies she’s never had before (since I invented them!) and a variation on one of my Wiches. Mailed on the the 5th and received by her this morning, July 6th, right on time.

In addition to the new Gooey Lemon-Lime Chews (heavier on the lime since that was the point,) I also made a Lemon-Lime Brownie, the dense and fudgy iced cookie that has no chocolate but deserves the name. (I must admit, a tiny taste of the latter cookie has moved it to the very top of my Favorites list, and I hope my sister-in-law in Moses Lakes agrees with me as I sent her a chunk of it today for Friday delivery.)

A batch of my Peanut Butter Butter Cookies was divided into straight-no-chaser and a small batch of juliyya’s Wich. These were filled with a browned butter and dark chocolate ganache frosting. Most of them went to Mother, but a few went to Moses Lake along with my second new Favorite: Peanut Butter Butter Wich filled with Caramel Cream Cheese Frosting. Woo boy!

See that? Glazed Lemon-Lime Brownies went in the 8″x4″ pan inside the mailing box with separate containers for the Lemon-Lime Gooey Chews, Peanut Butter Butter Cookies and Peanut Butter Chocolate Wiches. Mother was delighted.
