I’ve been on an orange “kick” for awhile, starting with gooey clementine cinnamon rolls* and then orange bread pudding** during which I used a different process for incorporating the orange zest into the batters. I decided to try it with my own butter cookie recipe and see what happens. Well, it worked and the cookies? Scrumptious.
There’s going to be another orange offering, I hope, as the idea of it has my mouth watering already but I have to go to the store and get more oranges. A chat with my mother yesterday about an upcoming cookie package convinced me to give it a try and send along with these orange butter cookies and some raspberry butter cookies. Saint Patrick’s Day is upcoming.
