While Ms. McSquirrel enjoyed leftovers from the party a few days ago, today a smaller pumpkin was roasted, pureed and turned into a pie for three of us to have a dinner slice and another for breakfast, made in a non-traditional manner. Next time I will make the pie they both expected, using famous recipe on a tin of pumpkin.

Who doesn’t want to see a photo of half a pie made with pumpkin, half-and-half, brown sugar and molasses, orange zest, eggs and spices inside a partially pre-baked commercial crust? Just imagine the very lightly sweetened whipped cream.
