In Seattle, Sunday the first of May is the last full day of Ramadan for the year. That means from sundown Monday until sundown on Tuesday is the holiday known as Eid Al-Fitr, one of the two Eids every year for observing Muslims. It’s a day to wish them Eid Mubarak or Happy Eid. The day is a special one for gift-giving and I like to bake a little something for some friends. This year I chose Crazy Cake cupcakes (chocolate) with Browned Butter Frosting and some sprinkles and/or Jonesing dark chocolate ganache accents. I practice my Arabic writing, too.*
