Our Mahjongg “mother” Lisa turned 86 on the 16th of September while I was in Salt Lake City celebrating my birthday with my daughter, Maria. So, we’re having a belated birthday party for Lisa today with Lemon Cream Cake I made this morning. I made the lemon curd last night since it firms as it cools. Corrine donated the cheerful candles which we’re not allowed to light so I placed them on the side of the cake using the lightly-sweetend vanilla whipped cream to hold them. Pretty before candles and pretty with them, huh?
