One of my brothers carves and whittles and sands and polishes and sometimes stains pretty pieces of wood into various useful and beautiful items. He climbs trees sometimes to get a small limb in which a honeysuckle has wrapped and embedded itself, making gnarly wood for his hand-crafted canes. Mother tells me that he’s also been making pretty kitchen implements like these for some time now.
