This speaks for itself, a collaborative gift from my daughter on Father’s Day. She took it from idea to the web in a few hours using an ancient laptop and her excellent project management. I wanted to put the song up online today since I have it stored on my computer, but do not have the technical know-how to get it there. She asked me to quickly find some photos, take photos of photos and email them so she could create a collage and YouTube would allow the upload.
In case it isn’t obvious, I wrote this song a number of years ago. I have performed it at a number of venues, especially when my daughter is in the audience with friends and family, including at McCabe’s Guitar Shop in Santa Monica, as headliner at Tommy’s Nightclub and Grill in Seattle during the U District Street Fair one year and, in 2007, at the Wine Bar on 24th in Ballard.
“I want a daddy, Mummy,” she said.
